As our community deals with COVID 19 we are adjusting what we do. We remain the church of Jesus Christ and seek to minister and witness in His name.
- We resumed on site services on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Services are conducted at 9am. We resumed congregational singing Sunday, May 30, 2021.
- Effective May 24, 2021 we lifted pew restrictions in the sanctuary.
- During winter months we operate the ventilation with a fresh air intake open for furnace air and an upper window in the choir loft opened to maximize air turnover and reduce the potential for covid infection.
- Masks are optional. We have masks available at the entrance from the parking lot. Since we follow Maine CDC guidelines, masks are not required. However, if you wish to wear a mask please do so and if you are not wearing one please be courteous to those who are. We will review this guidance as CDC recommendations change in the future.
- We have resumed observing the Lord's Supper (Communion) the first Sunday of each month. We share Communion at the end of the worship service in a safe manner for those who wish to partake of the Sacrament. Congregants will remain seated in their pews and the deacons will bring the elements to each pew. Both elements will be held until we partake of them, in succession, as a congregation.
- We continue the Sunday morning worship webpage. Each week this will have pdf and mp3 versions of the sermon, lectionary and welcome for those who wish them. It also has links to youtube versions of the morning hymns, prelude and postlude. This is continued even after we resume worship onsite for those who are unable to join us in person. We no longer post a monthly communion video, but have left past ones on our You Tube channel.
- We encourage you to find a devotional you enjoy. https://odb.org is the link to Our Daily Bread.
- Sunday evening Bible studies remain suspended.
- We have implemented new food bank procedures in order to best sustain that effort. Click on the Food Bank page of this website for more details.
- We have resumed special services for the community, including weddings, funerals and memorial services.
